What’s your thoughts about Depression related in Islam?
There is something called Sadness, Grief and Confusion as to what's next, Where are we going, What's the solution? We people of this Duniya have named it Depression. Even Rasool Allah SAW have gone through this when his Family Died, when he was beaten at several occasion including a very popular incident of Ta'if and when Allah SWT didn't revealed him the Quran for Several Years, he also became Sad, but was he DEPRESSED ? No. I don't think so. Because a believer has something in his or her Heart that's called Sukoon. We know that someday we all have to leave this Duniya and go away. This thought removes 90% of your Sadness which is related to this Duniya. Money, Fame, Success in the Worldly Affairs, will never give Mankind an Everlasting Happiness. It doesn't matter how much money you make, it doesn't matter what Car you drive, it doesn't matter how good looking you are, when we stand before Allah SWT, we are all Equal and how Allah SWT judges us? by looking at our Good/Bad Deeds. Who have you Hurt? How many people have you helped? How do you treat people? How do you behave with your Parents? Etcetera. When we start looking at things with the Islamic Perspective, our Worries and Sorrows will become far less than what we are experiencing today.
And there is a quote -
"This World is Temporary, This Life is Temporary, How can your Problems be Permanent"
"This shall Pass too"
